Collections of The painting and sculptures of the Gothic
Period (c. 1250 to around 1520), Wittelsbach collections
in the 19th Century for the high standing and primarily courtly character
of the exhibits from the Renaissance and the Baroque. Above all, these
are art chamber (Kunstkammer) pieces of the 16th and 17th Century and
magnificent witnesses of princely representation from the epoch of the
Sun King, Courtly Culture (dinner service
of Hildesheim's prince-bishop), Musical Instruments, Porcelain
and Faience ( works of rococo modeller Franz Anton Bustelli), 19th
Century Art (highlight is the large model of the City of Munich
by Johann Baptist and Franz Seitz).
