Join the Rio carnival (BRASIL) and learn how to get prepared for itWho hasn't heard about the biggest spectacle of the world with 90,000 spectators, tens of thousands of dancers and a parade that will automatically force you to sway your hips to the wonderful samba music?..... The Rio Carnival in Brazil; a once in a life time event that takes place every year. However, such a spectacle is not that easy to organize or prepare. In fact, this carnival that takes place every 365 days requires a preparation of 363 days followed by two days of unspeakable madness in a stadium especially built for this occasion. Imagine an event that hosts 300.000 foreign visitors alone, every year. A parade to deserve such recognition is a result of months of preparation. Let us tell you one by one how to prepare for a Rio Carnival: Because the most important and crucial quality of the carnival is the Samba parade, over 14 samba schools with thousands of members and drummers participate with perfect synchronised steps swirls and rhythms. As a foreigner, if you dont want to feel as an outsider, find a list of samba schools from the Brazilian consulate. Get ready for a vigorous rehearsal programme in these schools and most importantly get fit. Yes… get fit! Go to your local gym as often as you can because you definitely need to both look good and prepare your body for a vigorous and tiresome dancing frenzy. If you want to participate in the parade fully equipped both with dancing and singing abilities and with the famous colorful costumes, you must pay these samba schools a fee of about 200$ for participation. We advise you to secure your own costume by either buying ready ones or by creating one yourself. Now, if you really want to fit in the parade try to learn your samba steps as accurately as possible to not portray a “National Lampoon Family” member and if possible learn how ti sing the theme song of the school you are attending. Most important of all, be on time for the parade and preferably
dress up in your hotel. Brasil Tours | |||
