Geisha Schools (JAPAN)

Want to become a geisha? Why not attend the Geisha School?

There is a type of woman that has intrigued men for centuries and have out-beaten the western woman with their soft, feminine, traditional and learned ways: The Geisha

They have entertained aristocrats, rich lords and have bewitched the world with their refined arts of pleasure. There always has been a misconception that these women were prostitutes, but mostly, and especially in our modern world geishas are considered to be pleasing entertainers that contribute to the culture of Japan.

Japan and especially Kyoto, is full of Geisha schools were Japanese girls are trained in various areas of expertise from dancing, playing an instrument, conversation to serving drinks. They also had to be experts in the traditional Japanese rituals such as the tea ceremony. In order to be successful, the geisha needed to exceed in their conversational skills had to have many social connections.

These Geisha schools not only, deal with the physical appearance and behavioral ways of its students, but they also put a great deal of emphasis on the knowledgeability of their student to excel in conversation. In early times Japanese girls attended geisha schools instead of high school and college.

Because there is a lot to the clothes and make up of Geisha, where they are constructed stage by stage, layer by layer, this construction combines with phases of both physical and internal development.

We decided only to construct ourselves into geishas physically. We visited a Geisha school in Kyoto and transformed ourselves into a geisha (better said to a partial geisha)

The traditional Geisha make-up is to paint the face and hands with a thick pure white make-up. Special attention is paid to the neck which is considered to be the most seductive area.

Having finished with our make-up, we had a black geisha wig placed on our head and a beautiful kimono to complement our look.

It was an unforgettable moment to feel as the most fascinating of the temptresses of seduction, before we started itching in the face and emprisoned in the tight kimono. This was too much for a western woman to endure for the sake of a man not taking into account the entertaining, serving and pleasing part of it.

Now we really understood the obsession of the western man for these porcelain dolls........

Such unquestionned training and effort just to please the male specie deserves appreciation by men and a taste of jealousy and feminist bitterness on our part.
