Float in the dead sea….. (JORDAN)No matter how you try, you cannot dive, sink and swim in water….. it is as if though you are flying in the air but getting wet. Each time we tried harder to sink, dived with all our force but useless; we just would not sink and came out floating like a big balloon in the Dead sea… So we decided to read our book and noticed that it wouldnt get wet. We wandered how and why? This is why?.... The Dead Sea which is in border between the West Bank (Israel) and Jordan, is the lowest exposed point on the Earth’s surface. These waters are the deepest hypersaline lake in the world and has had a history of being a refuge place for King David, a luxury resort for Herod the Great and a supplier of different ingredients for Egyptian mummification. Now, because the Dead Sea is the lowes body of water on Earth, water from the Jordan River flows in but because the Dead Sea is lower than the land around it no water can drain out. The hot desert sun evaporates the water about as fast as it flows from the river, leaving behind great amounts of salt and other minerals from the Jordan. This makes the Dead Sea seven times saltier than the ocean which in return provides you with a bed made of water for you to lie in, without sinking down. We just loved to float in the surface of the sea, let ourselves be lifted by the waters with no effort at all, we took advantage of this natural miracle as much as we could, we could even have gone to sleep with no fear of drowning.
