Adopt an elephant (THAILAND)If you are not married yet and don’t have children, fulfill yourself by adopting an endangered Asian Elephant baby and watch and hear from it stage by stage. When you hear about elephants, the first image that comes into mind is always the African elephant. Many of us don’t even know that there is the Asian elephant and it is much more different than the African we are used to see in movies or pictures. The Asian elephant differs in several ways to the African; It is smaller, with smaller ears and the head (not the shoulder) is the highest part of the body. They have a single finger on the upperlip of the trunk while the African elephants have a second on the lower tip. They are almost hairless and they keep their ears in constant motion in order to cool themselves from the heat they generate. They are told to have a well hearing, vision and are very good swimmers. Unfortunately the Asian elephant found in Southeast Asia are threatened by extinction because of the speediliy growing human population and poaching for their ivory and meat. However, there is an elephant-center in Phuket, Thailand; The Elephant Help Project Foundation, where these animals are taken care of, treated for diseases and protected from any other threats that could lead to their deaths. Now because the care of an elephant is quite expensive taking into consideration that an adult Asian elephant weighs 3-5 tons, eats 250 kilos of vegetation and drinks over 200 litres of water each day plus his medical cares, these animal need to be sponsored. Why not sponsor them you?..... In the center in Phuket you have a chance to adopt a baby elephant and sponsor it for the rest of his life, watch him grow, be informed of its development day by day with photos thanks to your help. We adopted the sweetest of baby elephants:
Ying was its name, we played with it, we fed it, gave it water to drink
we washed it… we were fulfilled to have nurtured our baby. But
Ying will not only be adopted by us, it will have other sponsors together
with us paying an annual fee of just 25$ so it can get the care it needs. Thailand Tours | |||
